The art of Contact Improvisation is the ability to combine inner and outer impulses, being flexible and still dancing one´s own dance. 

The art of Body – Mind Centering gives the capacity to make choices. The body is being minded and the mind is being embodied.

The art of Music and Sound vibrates and resonates in our very being.

In this Workshop Ka Rustler and Roberto Bellatalla will explore the different fluid systems in our body and their influence on responsive and vibrational connection in our movement and mind. 

Dancing from the bones as a supporting structure articulates and levers us, sculpting and creating form in space. The organs provide us with a sense of weight, density and volume The fluids are the transportation system of our body and mediate the dynamics of flow, rest and activity. 

While we dance and move we constantly receive information from our internal and external worlds, an environment that shapes and is shaped by our experience. How we perceive, filter, reject, use, and accept influences our instantaneous composition and how we create our environment and emerge into form.

We will discover how to combine and consciously choose different fluid states expanding and deepening our intuition, clarity and movement creativity. With this knowledge we will explore new, fun and exciting ways expanding our potential and expression, making fluid changes within our total fluid matrix. 

The workshop is open to all practice levels.

Ka Rustler, originally trained as a gymnast and classical dancer, continued her education at the SNDO in Amsterdam working with pioneers in the field of improvisation and dance.She has collaborated with numerous artists internationally inspired by her curiosity to explore and finding the joy, risk and freedom to go beyond limitation. Her work for film and stage has been featured at dance and theatre festivals in Europe, Mexico, Russia, Japan and USA.Currently she teaches Methods and Tools derived from BMC® and other somatic systems researching their application in movement, choreographic explorations and neuroscientific connections of Learning with Movement at Universities and Institutions internationally.She is co-founder of the Berlin based Institute for Body, Dance and Therapy, member of the Authentic Movement Practice Unwinding the Body and Embodiment Research Group Emergence of Form.

Roberto Bellatalla lived in London from 1978 to 2003, double bass player active on the british and european jazz and improvised music scene, has played extensively, toured and recorded with Elton Dean, Nick Evans, Keith Tippett, Louis Moholo, Mark Sanders, Alan Wilkinson, Evan Parker, Paul Dunmall, Paul Rutherford, Tony Marsh, Paul Rogers, Marcio Mattos, Maggie Nichols, Radu Malfatti, Tristan Honsinger, Sean Bergin, Steve Noble, Billy Jenkins and many others: Member of the band “Dreamtime”, from 1983 to 2006 and of “Louis Moholo’s Viva la Black”. He writes and performs for theatre, poetry and dance and is involved in didactic activities for children, adults and disabled people. He plays with the trio led by guitarist Mike Cooper, “Truth in the Abstract Blues”, performs solo concerts and with a variety of small acoustic or electro-acoustic ensembles of improvised music.

L’arte della Contact Improvisation è la capacità di combinare gli impulsi interni con quelli esterni, di essere flessibili ballando ancora la propria danza.

L’arte del Body – Mind Centering è la capacità di saper scegliere. Il corpo viene pensato e la mente viene incarnata.

L’arte della musica e del suono vibra e risuona nel nostro stesso essere.

In questo workshop Ka Rustler e Roberto Bellatalla esploreranno i diversi sistemi fluidi nel nostro corpo e la loro influenza sulla connessione reattiva e vibratoria nel nostro movimento e nella nostra mente.

Ballare dalle ossa come struttura portante si articola e ci leviga, scolpendo e creando forma nello spazio. Gli organi ci forniscono un senso di peso, densità e volume. I fluidi sono il sistema di trasporto del nostro corpo e mediano le dinamiche di flusso, riposo e attività.

Mentre danziamo e ci muoviamo riceviamo costantemente informazioni dai nostri mondi interni ed esterni, un ambiente che si modella ed è plasmato dalla nostra esperienza. Come percepiamo, filtriamo, rifiutiamo, usiamo e accettiamo le influenze della nostra composizione istantanea e come creiamo il nostro ambiente ed emergiamo in forma.

Scopriremo come combinare e scegliere consapevolmente diversi stati fluidi espandendo e approfondendo la nostra intuizione, chiarezza e creatività del movimento. Con questa conoscenza esploreremo modi nuovi, divertenti ed entusiasmanti espandendo il nostro potenziale e la nostra espressività, apportando cambiamenti fluidi all’interno della nostra matrice fluida totale.

Il workshop rimane accessibile a tutti i livelli.

Ka Rustler, originariamente ginnasta e ballerina classica, ha continuato la sua formazione presso lo SNDO di Amsterdam lavorando con pionieri nel campo dell’improvvisazione e della danza.Ha collaborato con numerosi artisti internazionali ispirati dalla sua curiosità di esplorare e trovare la gioia, il rischio e la libertà di andare oltre la limitazione. Il suo lavoro per il cinema e il palcoscenico è stato presentato in festival di danza e teatro in Europa, Messico, Russia, Giappone e Stati Uniti.Attualmente insegna Metodi e Strumenti derivati da BMC® e altri sistemi somatici che ricercano la loro applicazione in movimento, esplorazioni coreografiche e connessioni neuroscientifiche di “Apprendimento con Movimento” presso Università e Istituzioni a livello internazionale. È co-fondatrice dell’istituto per il corpo, la danza e la terapia di Berlino, membro dell’Authentic Movement Practice Unwinding the Body e Embodiment Research Group Emergence of Form.

Una ora con tuo figlio per condividere una esperienza

CONTAKIDS 2-5 anni e genitori. (dalle 10.30 alle 11.20)
E’ un modo nuovo per stare insieme e imparare attraverso il gioco e il movimento.
Alla base di questa pratica ci sono semplici esercizi di costruzione fisica che usano il contatto, la fiducia, e il movimento come focus centrale.
Per partecipare, non è richiesta esperienza nella danza o nel movimento.

PLAYCONTACT FAMILY bambini 5-7 anni e genitori dalle 11.30 alle 12.30)
Una ora per “giocare” con il movimento e il contatto che stimola il bambino verso la conoscenza del proprio corpo e la percezione dello spazio in una modalità creativa. È un’attività incentrata sul contatto fisico, un modo nuovo di vivere un tempo, attraverso il gioco e la relazione tra bambinoe genitore.

Leonardo Lambruschini è insegnate certificato Contakids ed ha sviluppato una metodologia nuova per bambini dai 5-7 anni chiamata PlayContact che può prevedere anche la presenza del genitore.

How are trios born? – investigating creation of trios in the space- coming into and out of, practicing readiness for engagement.
How to be ready inside my trio, in the right place and time? what is needed of me in each moment?
How do i discover more courage and trust in the multidimensional space of the trio?

We will observe each other, practice spiral flow, engage our back spaces and discover, how to stay involved in the dance and bring our best abilities to this joyful challenge.

we will practice heightened awareness and responsibility.
we will laugh and enter endless spirals.
we will experience dynamic ranges of speed.
our rivers will climb up mountains.

Anjelika Doniy (RU)
is a dance improviser, choreographer and a teacher oriented to contact improvisation and contemporary dance. She was born in Kishinev, Moldavia. She was educated at the High School of Culture, St-Petersburg. After graduation, she was a theatrical choreographer for 10 Years.
She created the yearly, nine day, International Contact Improvisation and Performance Festival in Moscow. She took part in different international festivals of contemporary dance, collaboration projects concerning improvisation and contact with teachers like Regine Chopinot (France), Mary Folkerson (Nederland), Eszter Gal (Hungary), Benno Vooram (Sweden), Denny Lepkoff (USA), Lisa Nelson (USA), Nancy Stark smith (USA). Since 1999 she is living in Moscow, and teaching Contact Improvisation, Improvisation and Movement Development. At the moment her passion is to build the “Dans House” on the Nature in Russia.

Leonardo Lambruschini (IT)
Actor, dancer and performer. Co-founder and Art Director of Spazio Seme, an international cultural Arts Center in Arezzo (Tuscany). There we create opportunities for research, organize and manage festivals, intensive workshops, performances, artistic productions and residencies.
I develop and lead classes for children (ContaKids, PlayContact) and I teach Contact Improvisation for adults and students at Art Schools. I’ve been teaching CI in Italy, India, France, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Russia, Georgia, Northern Ireland, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Brazil. I am one of the organizers of the ItalyContactFest – www.italycontactfest.com – an international festival of Contact Improvisation.

The Contact Improvisation Jam is a part of contact improvisation practice and offers an informal space for dancers to play to be focusing on movement.

MegaJAM Fest open the possibility to practice for 5 days all the Jam format.
We start opening the jam with warm up (Anjelika Doniy) in Wednesday 24 April at 20.30.00 pm and we close on Sunday 28 dic. at 20.00 pm. (mas o memos).
This is all that we know and all there is to know, the time and location…. then every day we will create together.

>> RAFFAELLA GIORDANO si forma e lavora come interprete dal 1980 al 1984 con la coreografa Carolyn Carlson a Venezia. Negli anni successivi attraversa importanti esperienze in seno al Tanztheater di Wuppertal in Germania e nella compagnia l’Equisse Obadia/Bouvier in Francia. Nel 1990 partecipa allo spettacolo Il Muro di Pippo Delbono. Nel 1984 è cofondatrice del collettivo storico Sosta Palmizi e crea gli spettacoli Il Cortile, Tufo, Perduti una notte. Nel 1987  debutta con la sua prima coreografia per sette danzatori, Ssst…, e inizia a collaborare come coreografa per la Folkwang Hochschule di Essen in Germania, dove crea Inuit e Il volto di Aria. Nel 1999 con La Notte trasfigurata – Il Canto della colomba su musiche di A. Schoenberg riceve per la seconda volta il Premio della critica Danza&Danza, quale migliore coreografa/interprete della nuova danza, e il Premio Gardadanza come miglior spettacolo. Nel 2000 le viene attribuito il Premio speciale UBU per Quore. Dal 1986 crea numerose opere corali e solistiche, fra le più significative L’Azzurro Necessario, I Forestieri, Fiordalisi, …et anima mea…, La Notte trasfigurata – Il Canto della colomba, Quore. Per un lavoro in divenire, Per una stanza, Senza Titolo, Tu non mi perderai mai, Cuocere il mondo. Nel 2012 partecipa come interprete in Caino di Cesare Ronconi su testi di Mariangela Gualtieri. Nell’autunno del 2013 partecipa alle riprese del film Il giovane favoloso, regia di Mario Martone, nel ruolo di Adelaide Antici, madre di Giacomo Leopardi. Nel 2015 crea i movimenti coreografici per l’opera Macbeth con la regia di Mario Martone al Théâtre des Champs-Elysées di Parigi.
 Dal 2009 al 2012
 promuove e dirige “Scritture per la danza contemporanea”, corso biennale per lo sviluppo e la sensibilizzazione delle arti corporee in collaborazione con il Teatro Stabile di Torino e l’Arboreto Teatro Dimora di Mondaino, e dal 2016 il progetto formativo “AZIONE” per favorire una rete stabile di insegnamento in Toscana. Nel 2013 al Theatre des Bernardines di Marsiglia debutta L’Incontro, duetto frutto di una preziosa collaborazione con la danzatrice e coreografa spagnola Maria Munoz. Nel 2016 è protagonista nel film L’intrusa del regista Leonardo Di Costanzo e cura i movimenti coreografici per Sancta Susanna di Paul Hindemith all’Opera Bastille di Parigi, con la regia di M. Martone. Nel 2017 crea le coreografie per il film Capri-Revolution diretto da Mario Martone. Nell’autunno del 2017 debutta ad Autunno Danza a Cagliari con il suo ultimo assolo, Celeste appunti per natura. Nel 2018 lavora alla creazione dei movimenti dello spettacolo Freud o l’interpretazione dei sogni con la regia di Federico Tiezzi e collabora con M. Martone nell’opera Falstaff diretta da D. Barenboim allo Staatsoper di Berlino.

Questo processo sta emergendo in India, grazie a una ricerca sulla tecnica e la metodologia delle prestazioni condotta da Abanti Chakraborty. Il percorso tratta direttamente le otto emozioni del Teatro Indiano (Risata, Rabbia, Peccato, Terrore, Meraviglia, Coraggio, Disgusto e Amore) nei principi esposti nel NATYASHASTRA rivisitati per la scena contemporanea, e ne coltiva l’applicazione e il viaggio nel corpo dell’attore.

Questa volta BODY ACTS RASA approda in Italia presso Spazio Seme – Centro Artistico Internazionale in collaborazione con Gianni Bruschi.

Partendo dal movimento corporeo con un training su rituali coreutici del Mediterraneo, verranno proposti esercizi teatrali e vocali che tenderanno a creare un sincretismo tra cultura occidentale e cultura orientale alla ricerca di matrici comuni.
Danza, coordinamento, relazione tra respiro e azione scenica, narrazione, favoriranno una conoscenza ampliata e globale di sé, potenziando sempre più le modalità espressive e creative del corpo e dello spirito.

Il workshop sarà condotto congiuntamente in inglese e in italiano da Abanti Chakraborty e Gianni Bruschi con il supporto di Leonardo Lambruschini per la Contact Improvisation,Francesco Botti per il teatro di narrazioni e Carlos Ujhama danza. E’ parte centrale del programma ART OF MOVEMENT e prevede anche la interazione con alcune delle classi residenti a Spazio Seme, Tai Chi con Riccardo Scarafia, Yoga e Pilates con Nikoleta Germani.

BODY ACT RASA – It is a collaborative artistic journey aimed at actors, dancers, musicians and performers. This innovative process is coming to light in India, thanks to a research on the technique and the performance methodology conducted by Abanti Chakraborty. The program deals directly with the eight emotions of the Indian Theater (Laughter, Anger, Sin, Terror, Wonder, Courage, Disgust and Love) in the principles exposed in the NATYASHASTRA revisited for the contemporary scene, and it cultivates their application and journey in the actor’s body.
BODY ACTS RASA arrives for the first time in Italy at Spazio Seme – International Art Centre thanks to the collaboration with Gianni Bruschi.
We will start from the body movement with a training on Mediterranean choreutical rituals, going through theatrical and vocal exercises that will integrate and create a syncretism between western and oriental culture in search of common matrices.
Dance, coordination, relationship between breath and stage action, narration, will all foster an expanded and global knowledge of ourselves, increasingly strengthening the expressive and creative skills of body and spirit.

This workshop will be conducted both in english and italian, by Abanti Chakraborty from India and Gianni Bruschi with the support of Leonardo Lambruschini for Contact Improvisation, Francesco Botti for the story-telling theatre and Carlos Ujhama for the dance. It is a module of the program: THE ART OF MOVEMENT and it also includes the interaction with some of the Spazio Seme resident classes: Tai Chi with Riccardo Scarafia, Yoga and Pilates with Nikoleta Germani.

Abanti Chakraborti was born in 1976 at Kolkata. She is a post graduate in Applied Linguistics & Translation Studies from Central University, Hyderabad.
She has received training in Bharatanatyam under Ram Pal and Hindustani Vocal under Ustad Mashkur Ali Khan. She started her directorial venture at a young age with the play Emilia and Three Angels. Further, she directed Arun Barun Kiranmala, Himsuka, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Thatri Medea, Putuler Chithi, Raktagantha and Ranjabati Sen. She founded her group Aarshi Theatre in 2006 and made a mark as a young talent early in life. She got opportunity to visit New Zealand, New Jersey, Maine, Houston, San Francisco and Bangladesh.
She was invited as a Research Fellow in direction in the Yale School of Drama, for workshop at Buddhist Theatre Society on text and performance in Sri Lanka and presented a paper and performance ‘Nora’ for the Ibsen Conference in Norway.
Sushree Abanti Chakrabory is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2009 for her notable talent in the field of theatre direction.

Gianni Bruschi is one of the founding members and one of the artistic directors of Spazio Seme – International Artistic Center in Arezzo. There he teaches theatre, voice, and expressive movement. He performed, managed and taught in Tunisia from 2003 to 2007 (Festivals de Eljem – Great Roman Amphitheatre), Spain, United States and India. He studied Belcanto and Opera with Slavka Taskova Paoletti, with whom he collaborated at the Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo for the Polifonico Internazionale. He is also a member of OIDA (Orchestra In-Stabile di Arezzo). Since 2006 he is a teacher at the Accademia dell’Arte, European Theatre Vocal and Dance. In 2010, working as Artistic Director of the Spring Dance program at the ADA, he led some important stagecraft workshops at the University of Boston (Boston, US), at the Muhlenberg College (Philadelphia, US) and at the Goucher College (Baltimore, US). He is achieving a degree as a counselor at the Institute of Psychosynthesis of Roberto Assagioli in Florence.

It is a dance training program, based on Afro-Brazilian expressions from the city of Salvador / Bahia, which uses elements of capoeira, dances of the Orixás, samba, folk dances and their syncretisms.
It is the only program on Afro-Brazilian dance recognized by the International Council of Dance CID / UNESCO, through IABACE, in recognition of this discipline in more than 170 countries, worldwide.
The program is aimed at dancers, actors, musicians, singers and performer in general.

Carlos Ujhama

Founder of IABACE, an institution specializing in Afro-Brazilian dances, manifestations and expressions, Member of the International Council of Dance CID / UNESCO and collaborator in Spazio Seme – International Arts Centre / IT, since 2012.
He is general coordinator of the International Certification Program in Afro-Brazilian Art and Culture AFROSSÁ BDC – Brazil Dance Concept’s (first Afro-Brazilian dance training program, recognized by the International Dance Council CID / UNESCO). Director and choreographer of the Contemporary Society of Urban Intervention, recognized as “Affirmative Expression of the Black Identity of the city of Salvador”, through the Center for Popular and Identifying Cultures of Bahia / SECULT-BA – BRAZIL, Bahia State Government / 2010.

Ana Estrela

Brazilian dancer and choreographer. Assistant and choreographer of Mestre King (the big master of Afrobrazilian dance), she studied dance at the SESC school of Salvador da Bahia and at the Fundacao Cultural do Estado de Bahia in Brazil. For a long time he carried out research and studies in the “Casas de Candomblè”, and was part of several Brazilian folk groups and groups, such as Muzenza, Araketu, Banda Didà, Oba Oba, Rio Samba, Companhia Brasileira de Dancas Populares and others. . She has lived for many years in Italy, where she teaches many Afro-Brazilian dance classes and conducts several projects to spread Afro-Brazilian dance and music, such as Beira-Mar, a group created with the fusion of Brazilians and Italians and the Arrastão de Yemanjá movement, together with his creator Kal dos Santos.
Develops ad hoc workshops on archetypes for theater groups of Comedia dell’Arte.
He leads projects for the dissemination of Brazilian culture on the territory and for the integration of foreign people through music, dance, crafts and gastronomy, especially through the ETHNIC COOK project.

Neney Santos

Neney Santos is one of the most brilliant Brazilian percussionists, boasting an exceptional portfolio of collaborations with artists such as Michael Jackson, Peter Gabriel, Carlinhos Brown, Caetano Veloso and Olodum.

In Italy, thanks to his extraordinary percussive arrangements, live performances and surprising rhythmic energy, he participated in the music tours of Jovanotti, Alex Britti and Mario Venuti.
Neney is mainly inspired by the Afro-Ax music genre typical of Salvador de Bahia; his music is a powerful mix of funk, pop, afro-samba, bossa-nova and jazz.

Anderson do Samba

This intensive workshop, “A Dialogue Between Bahia and the World” intends to preserve the memory of samba reggae—a uniquely Afro-Brazilian rhythm created by master percussionist Neguinho do Samba in the 1980’s. As conceived by Neguinho’s son – Anderson do Samba Souza – the workshop will present the history of samba reggae, and techniques of the instruments commonly used. Anderson’s father, Neguinho do Samba, created the samba reggae rhythm the world knows today—plus directed Olodum during the Michael Jackson, Paul Simon, and Herbie Hancock collaborations. Carrying on his father’s legacy, Anderson’s workshop will focus on this language, and its evolution through today.

Anderson was born and raised in the historic “Pelourinho” neighborhood of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. At 8 years of age he started his musical career as a member of the Banda Olodum Mirim (Olodum’s children’s group), under the direction of his legendary father, Neguinho do Samba. Anderson has since worked with nationally and internationally renowned artists such as Daniela Mercury, Olodum, Timbalada, Dudu Nobre, B. Negao, Mariela Santiago, Frederik Norèn, Daniel Moreno, Cheick Tediane, Isa Pereira, Tony Allen, Angelique Kidjo, Gilberto Gil, Pepeu Gomes, Mike Ellis, Bira Reis, Graham Haynes, Hermeto Pascoal, Jerry Gonzales, Adam Rudolph, Lasine Kouyate, Dou Dou Coumba Rose, Ricky Husbands, Roy Paci & retuska etc.

Il Roy Hart Theatre, di che si tratta?

Il Roy Hart Theatre è conosciuto da più di 40 anni per il lavoro unico ed originale che conduce nel reame dell’espressione vocale e corporea.
Permette, per sua natura, di estendere i registri della voce.
Le sue radici sono basate sulle ricerche di Alfred Wolfsohn e di Roy Hart mirate all’esplorazioni del legame tra la voce, la psiche, l’anima, le emozioni ed il corpo.

L’approccio al canto che il R.H.T. propone è fisico e stimolante.
Si posiziona al crocevia tra la tecnica vocale, lo sviluppo personale, espressivo ed il gioco teatrale. E’ apprezzato da cantanti, attori, insegnanti ma anche da tutti coloro che desiderano uscire dai sentieri battuti, sviluppare fiducia in sé e scoprire la propria voce.

Obiettivi:

– Prendere coscienza della propria respirazione e sviluppare la connessione tra il respiro, il corpo e la voce
– Connettersi alle sensazioni corporee
– Estendere lo spettro vocale: timbro, colori, risonanze..
– Viaggiare ed improvvisare con la propria voce, servendosi dell’immaginario e delle emozioni
– Sviluppare l’ascolto
– Cantare con fiducia in condivisione prendendosi il proprio spazio all’interno del gruppo
Contenuto:

– Esercizi corporei tesi sia a rilassare che a preparare il corpo
– Esercizi di respirazione ed esplorazione del respiro, riscaldamento vocale
– Giochi vocali e teatrali
– Lavoro individuale ed improvvisazioni individuali e collettive
– In questo workshop : apprendimento di canti dalla tradizione georgiana
In questo persorso sarete accompagnati ad ascoltare con tutto il corpo ed esplorare i sentieri della vostra voce condotti da :

Laurent Stéphan

Insegnante di voce sia nell’espressione cantata che parlata, insegnante di teatro ed attore dal 1990, Laurent ha cantato in varie formazioni di canti tradizionali georgiani ed italiani con i quali ha registraato 6 cd.
Porta con passione il lavoro sul corpo e la voce, aiutando a sviluppare presenza, fiducia in sé e stimolando la musicalità nei suoi allievi.

Emanuela Lazzerini

Insegnante e facilitatrice nell’ambito della voce e del corpo, performer formatasi nel mondo del teatro di strada, apprendista dal 2006 di un sentiero di conoscenze ed insegnamenti sciamanici.
Accompagna le persone ad incontrare il proprio potenziale vocale, in un clima di curiosità e piacevolezza.

Laurent ed Emanuela sono entrambi insegnanti diplomati al Centre Artistique Internationale Roy Hart.

The Roy Hart Theater has been known for more than 40 years for the unique and original work that leads into the realm of vocal and body expression.
It allows, by its nature, to extend the registers of the voice.
Its roots are based on the research of Alfred Wolfsohn and Roy Hart aimed at exploring the link between the voice, the psyche, the soul, the emotions and the body.

The approach to singing that the R.H.T. proposes it is physical and stimulating.
It is positioned at the crossroads between vocal technique, personal development, expressive and theatrical play. It is appreciated by singers, actors, teachers but also by all those who want to get off the beaten track, develop self-confidence and discover their own voice.

Laurent Stéphan: A voice teacher in both singing and speaking, theater teacher and actor since 1990, Laurent has sung in various formations of traditional Georgian and Italian songs with which he recorded 6 CDs.
He passionately carries work on the body and the voice, helping to develop presence, self-confidence and stimulating musicality in his students.

Emanuela Lazzerini: Teacher and facilitator in the field of voice and body, performer trained in the world of street theater, apprentice since 2006 of a path of shamanic knowledge and teachings.
She accompanies people to meet their vocal potential, in an atmosphere of curiosity and pleasure.

Laurent and Emanuela are both teachers graduated from the Centre Artistique International Roy Hart.

Please bring a yoga mat, comfortable clothes. We work barefoot or in dance shoes or socks.
