NEHEMIAH H. BROWN
Cantante, pastore, pianista, compositore, arrangiatore, direttore, insegnante di canto e tecnica vocale.
È cresciuto nella chiesa di su padre, Holy Temple Church of God in Christ dove ha
ricevuto il training sia spirituale che musicale. Ha studiato teoria della musica alla
University of Virginia; tecnica vocale Afro-Americana nella Università del Massachusetts con il Dott. Horace Boyer (Cattedra in Composizione ed Etnomusicologia ), ed inoltre pianoforte e voce con Martin Grusin a San Diego, Ca U.S.A, dove ha avuto grande successo con il suo programma radiofonico “The God Is Alive Show”. E’ laureato dalla San Francisco State University
Ha partecipato a numerosi concerti in Europa e negli Stati Uniti con Walter ed Edwin
Hawkins, Andrae Crouch, Shirley Caesar e Ron Kenoly.
Ha cantato e tiene molti seminari negli Stati Uniti, in Italia, Ungheria, Polonia; Finlandia, Francia, Olanda, Germania e Svizzera sulla musica Afro-Americana in particolare modo sul Gospel. Ha fondato e dirige gruppi in America e d Europa con inviti a lavorare in Asia ed Africa. Sempre a Firenze ha fondato la prima scuola di musica e cultura Afro-Americana “The Florence Gospel Choir School” della quale fa parte il gruppo The Florence Gospel Choir ed il numerosi gruppi.

Gira da anni il mondo come solista o direttore dei vari gruppi, tra le sue molteplici
esibizioni ci sono quella nella Sala Nervi del Vaticano e allo stadio Olimpico di Roma alla presenza di Papa Giovanni Paolo II e Papa Benedetto XVI, a Bari. Ha fatto parte del cast dello Show Markette condotto da Piero Chiambretti, trasmesso su La 7,come maestro del coro, pianista e interprete della sigla Church Lady, che e’ salito in alto nella categoria Dance. . Ospite il di varie trasmissioni televisive tra cui Uno Mattina in onda su Rai 1, Ti Lascio una Canzone, Parliamo L’Italiano, Affare Tuoi, e due volte su Portestantesimo. Era anche il protagonista dello spot nazionale del panettone Maina e lo spot Opera del Museo del Duomo.

Maestro Brown e’ Pastore della Florence Gospel Fellowship International di Firenze, dirige due cori internazionale, Il Rhine Main Community Choir, Germania, Il Geneva Gospel Choir, Svizzera e Direttore Musicale per l’evento Red Letter Christian Revival nel Virginia, (USA). E’ stato publicato nei Stati Uniti, nel Marzo 2018, il libro di poesia“Thalia” di Giuseppe Panetta (ITA) tradotto in inglese dal Maestro Brown. E’ un artista di 360° e continua portare il suo messaggio della Musica Gospel in tutto il mondo.

Il laboratorio è aperto a tutti coloro che amano scrivere.
Un percorso intensivo per avvicinare la scrittura in modo più critico, più consapevole e soprattutto più personale.
Scrivere per sé e scrivere per gli altri.
I segreti (e i pericoli) dell’ispirazione. Il progetto e le sue trappole. Gli elementi di base del linguaggio come i cubi di una costruzione. La nascita di un testo.

LAURA BOSIO, scrittrice, è nata a Vercelli e vive a Milano dove lavora come consulente editoriale. Ha pubblicato: I dimenticati (Feltrinelli 1993, Premio Bagutta Opera prima), Annunciazione (Mondadori 1997, Premio Europeo Moravia; nuova edizione Longanesi 2008); Le ali ai piedi (Mondadori 2002), Teresina. Storie di un’anima (Mondadori 2004), Le stagioni dell’acqua (Longanesi 2007, Finalista Premio Strega), Le notti sembravano di luna (Longanesi 2011), D’amore e di ragione. Donne e spiritualità (Laterza 2012), Da un’altra Italia. 63 lettere, diari, testimonianze sul “carattere” degli italiani (con Bruno Nacci, Utet 2104). Nel 1997 ha collaborato al soggetto e alla sceneggiatura del film Le acrobate di Silvio Soldini. È stata docente di Tecniche della scrittura al Master in giornalismo dell’Università Cattolica di Milano. Dal 2015 dirige la sede milanese della Scuola di italiano per stranieri Penny Wirton, fondata a Roma nel 2008 da Eraldo Affinati e Anna Luce Lenzi.

POST FLOW

In questo seminario esploreremo una gamma di possibilità nel danzare e comporre Contact Improvisation che vanno oltre il Flow, il nostro lavoro si ispira alla pratica di Viewpoints e di “Group Mind”.

Lavoreremo sull’espansione degli strumenti fisici a nostra disposizione nel dialogo interno del nostro corpo per creare una ricca tavolozza comunicativa che ci porterà a sviluppare un percorso di interazione con il corpo dei nostri partner di danza. In questo senso, consideriamo le interazioni in “Post Flow” come un dialogo caratterizzato dalla punteggiatura – spesso dimenticata nel flow – dove stasi, chiarezza, sottigliezze, ripetizione, focus ed espansione, vanno ad incoraggiare il tipo di danza in cui ci immergeremo. Presteremo inoltre attenzione alla componente spaziale, ai sensi e alla consapevolezza fisica, sia in assolo sia con altri partner.

Siamo interessati ad esplorare qualità specifiche di focus, attenzione ed ascolto che possono avvicinarsi molto all’atto performativo, anche se preferiamo considerarli come uno Stato d’Essere piuttosto che una performance.

Caterina Mocciola (IT/AUS)

E’ un performer, insegnante e producer indipendente, oltre ad essere traduttrice ed interprete. La sua pratica di danza si basa sulla Contact Improvisation e Composizione in Tempo Reale mentre discipline collegate, quali Feldenkrais, BMC, Viewpoints, Release Techinique, Body Weather e Kung Fu, hanno una grossa influenza nel suo approccio all’insegnamento e al movimento in generale. Ha insegnato classi regolari, workshop a Festival internazionali e presso Università in Australia, Nuova Zelanda, Argentina, Europa, Ucraina e Israele. Per più di un decennio ha vissuto in Australia, per un paio di anni a Berlino dove ha insegnato al TanzFabrik (classi regolari e presso il Dance Intensive), Marameo e DanceWorks, ha co-organizzato il Berlin Underscore e ECITE 2017. Ora è tornata in Italia per vivere sull’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano con il progetto di construire uno studio di danza, di continuare la formazione in BMC.

ANDREW WASS (US/GR)
Sperimentando con processi aleatori ed indeterminatei di improvvisazione, Andrew Wass formalizza il coincidentale ed enfatizza i processi consci di composizione che sono la sorgente generativa di molti dei suoi lavori. Influenzato profondamente dai suoi studi in Biochimica presso la U.C. di San Diego, Andrew lavora creando una prefisatta, quasi cristallina qualità al fine di generare una miriadi di possibilità. La sua prima esperienza di improvvisazione fu nell’estate del 1998 grazie al seminario del Lower Left Performance Collective a San Diego. Da allora ha fatto performance ed insegnato presso festival e teatri negli Stati Uniti, in Europa, Giappone e Malesia. POST FLOW WORKSHOP

This workshop will explore the range of possibilities available in dancing and composing with Contact Improvisation beyond the flow, our work is inspired by the practice of Viewpoints and Ensemble thinking.

We will work on expanding the physical tools available in our body-to-body dialogue to create a rich palate of communication that will take us to develop a road map to our partners body. We see the “Post Flow” interactions as a form of punctuated dialogue where stillness, clarity, subtlety, bigness, repetition, focus and expansion will encourage variations in the types of dances we can engage with.
We will also pay attention to the spatial environment, sensorial tracking and physical awareness, both with partners and in solo experience.

We are interesting in touching on specific qualities of focus, attention and listening that can be close the “performative” act, however we like to consider it a State of Being rather than a performance.
Caterina Mocciola (IT/AUS)

She is an independent performer, teacher and producer, also an
interpreter and a translator. Her practice is based on Contact Improvisation and Composition
while related disciplines, such as Feldenkrais, BMC, Viewpoints, Release Technique, Body
Weather and Kung Fu play a strong influence in her approach to teaching and movement. She
has taught regular classes, workshops, also at festivals and Universities, in Australia, New
Zealand, Argentina, and Europe. For over a decade she lived in Australia, for two years in
Berlin, where she taught at Tanzfabrik and Marameo, co-organized the Berlin Underscore and
ECITE 2017. She has now returned to Italy to build a dance studio on the Apennines and to
continue the BMC training.

Andrew Wass (US/GR)
By experimenting with aleatoric, improvisational, and indeterminate processes, Andrew Wass formalizes the coincidental and emphasizes the conscious processes of composition that are the generative source of much of his works. Influenced heavily by his undergraduate studies of Biochemistry at U.C. San Diego, Andrew works by creating a defined, almost crystalline palette in order to generate a myriad of possibilities. His initial exposure to improvisation was through the Lower Left Performance Collective’s summer workshops in San Diego in 1998. Since then he has performed and taught at festivals, theaters, and studios throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. A graduate of the MA SoDA program of the HZT, he is currently pursuing an MPhil/PhD through the University of Chichester. lowerleft.org wasswasswass.com

In questo corso si sviluppa e si esplora l’accompagnamento nella pratica del Tatto Interno.
Sostenere, supportare, autorizzare e facilitare il movimento del praticante, attraverso la comprensione e l’ascolto, espande l’esperienza e la arricchisce di nuove e concrete possibilità.

Il training si realizza attraverso lo scambio dei ruoli (praticante/accompagnatore) e nel rispetto delle proprie condizioni fisiche e psichiche.

L’accompagnamento, anche se essenzialmente impersonale, apre le porte ad una inevitabile sfera relazionale che si manifesta sempre e comunque in una comune realizzazione degli intendi: il benessere, il processo creativo, la percezione, l’esplorazione di se stessi e il movimento come strumento di ricerca personale.

MICHELE MARCHESANI
Comincia il suo lavoro sul corpo nel ‘96 attraverso lo studio dello Shiatsu (di cui è attualmente operatore e insegnante), nel 2003 sintetizza il “Tatto Interno”, tecnica corporea di movimento e percezione.
Ha insegnato prima a Bologna e poi nelle sedi di Orvieto(TR), Vasto(CH), Padova, Merano. Successivamente ha approfondito la sua tecnica studiando ShinTai, le fasce, i chakra e l’Attivazione del Corpo di Luce (Light Body Yoga)
Soddisfacendo il suo interesse e la sua curiosità per i sistemi olistici si è avvicinato con passione a diverse discipline quali: la cucina macrobiotica e naturale, la diagnosi orientale, i fiori di Bach, il Chi Chung, la meditazione, le tecniche di respirazione, il Reiki, i cinque tibetani ed altre tecniche olistiche.

Nel 2004 conosce la contact improvisation, che segue come allievo, organizzatore di eventi e negli ultimi anni occasionalmente come insegnante.

DESCRIPTION

Vision is our way of seeing things. We will experiment with vision and stretch our ability to see from safety to aesthetic pleasure.
We will also look at what happens if vision is not our only way of looking and seeing. We will learn to trust this knowledge with our eyes open and closed.
We will practice CI and its relationship with the composition of space, time and place.
We will work with time and understand movement principles.
We will discipline the capacity to stay focused in the chaos and spontaneous in the clear boundaries of the form.
I am interested in seeing dance from the point of view of time, quantity, space, dimensions, pressure, gravity, temperature.
Like baking a cake.
Or calculating the weather.
Or telling fortune in the coffee grounds.

We’ll research the questions:
What is visible, predictable, teachable?
What is hidden, unpredictable and unteachable?
Can we see a jam as an art work in progress?
How does a witness influence a dancer? And how does a dancer influence a witness?
We will always start with ourselves and return to ourselves through dance, awareness, attention, silence.

CI is a perfect way to research different questions about dance, creativity, living through whatever is there.

We invite you to walk the ladder from “real” to “magical” and back =)
Our rivers will climb mountains.
Life will surely become clearer!

Anjelika Doniy (RU)
I have studied to be a choreographer, I´ve been taught various skills of training and means of teaching the body of another person. In my “archive” there are many stage pieces from folk dance to ballet miniatures. My work in the Theatre has been the tastiest. The actors, direction and dramaturgy broadened my mind and my image of the dance art form. I began to see how the art of charming the audience is created.
Since I´ve met contact improvisation and the first CI teachers, I practice the art of de-educating the body of another person and disentangling the illusions about movement and dance.
I think that the human being is already perfect the way it is created, and I believe in nature and it´s laws. I dance, investigate and live in accordance with this vision.
I´m prompted in life by the ability to fall in love unconditionally and undoubtedly with people, movement, mountains, journey, ideas. This ability has helped me to learn everything that forms me right now. This is what teaches the others.
CI is the only dance that helps me leave the limits of personality and transform my consciousness. In this sense I´m the student, not the teacher. The better I learn, the more chances have the others to learn something near by me.
My special interest in contact improvisation is clarity. Clarity towards the practice. Honesty towards how do I move my weight in the space of Gravity. Attention towards clearing the dance from the personal. Letting things happen as they do.
I´m grateful for meeting such teachers as Steve Paxton, Nancy Stark Smith, Danny Lepkoff, Benno Voorham, Lisa Nelson, Esther Gal, Alexandr Girshon, Yaniv Mintzer, Yorg Hassman, Martin Keo and many others.

Leonardo Lambruschini (IT)
Actor, dancer and performer.
My journey in the performing arts started with the theatre, dance came afterwards. But then, when I encountered the Contact Improvisation, it was magic at ‘first sight’. Acting, playing and dancing were finally melting together as a whole. I dance as a student, as a teacher and as a performer with an unquenchable “thirst” for exploration and… for the ‘wonder’ on what happens in that ‘middle-land’ that is created in the process of receiving and returning, of uttering and listening to. I love the creative process that leads people to formulate plans and actions that promote the movement as a form of artistic and personal evolution and social expression.
Contact, confidence, movement and reliance are the central focus around which the teaching and the practice are developed, both for adults and children. Above all the reliance on the present moment as a fruitful and complete source of inspiration and meaning.
I’m appealed by the places and contexts where several art forms meet, communicate and create something new, transcending languages and differences.
I am also the co-founder and Art Director of Spazio Seme (www.spazioseme.com), an international cultural Arts Center in Arezzo (Tuscany) . There, we create opportunities for research, organize and manage festivals, intensive workshops, performances, artistic productions and residencies. In particular I develop and lead classes for children (ContaKids, PlayContact) and I teach Contact Improvisation for adults and students at Art Schools and Universities.
I am one of the organizers of the ItalyContactFest – www.italycontactfest.com – an international festival of Contact Improvisation.
I am grateful to have met artists and masters like Angelika Donij, Nita Little, Leilani Weiss, Esther Gal, Claudia Schnürer, Itay Yatuv , Steve Batts, Martin Keo and many others.

I’m a video maker from Moldova who definitely knows that everything is possible. Experiments are my passion and my task during the shooting is to turn everything upside down and maximize the truth that is reflected in my lens
Most of all in people I like their scripts. Everyone has it’s only. And the most amazing thing is that all the scenarios for a moment can intertwine and outgrow into a spectacular film that I manage to mount!
Traveling and meeting new people is my favorite. Every time I’m looking for a new dancer who wants to tell the world his story and I’m the one who with pleasure retells it!

Divier Nelli tornerà allo Spazio Seme per un seminario pratico sulla scrittura all’interno del Cantiere di Storie,
Romanzo e racconto saranno trattati come terreni dove poter coltivare azioni e intenzioni della narrazione.

Divier Nelli (Viareggio, 1974), vive a Firenze.
Scrittore, editor, consulente editoriale e insegnante du narrazione, ha diretto i Gialli Rusconi. Ha esordito nel 2002 con il romanzo “La Contessa”, cui sono seguiti “Falso binario”, “Il lungo inganno” (scritto a quattro mani con Leonardo Gori) “Amore dispari” e “Coma”. Molti suoi racconti sono apparsi su riviste e antologie. Tra cui “Drugs” (Guanda) di cui è stato anche curatore.
Il suo ultimo romanzo è “Il giorno egli orchi” (Guanda, 2017).

Contact improvisation with Marina Tampini (Arg)

The making of contact: from activating our muscular chains of motor coordination to deepening our observation of the layers of contact

This workshops involves a “research in process” on how the activation of motor coordination chains can be a starting point generating powerful dynamics that delocalize our bodies and inform our dances in general and CI in particular.

We will start out by activating muscular chains of motor coordination through our contact with the ground, opening up our attention to the force field that we produce. We will explore possibilities in the streaming of forces that awaken connections between distant points of our own myofascial system grounding in and surfing through different speeds and intensities co-existing within our bodies. We will expand our exploration by making contact with others, building up larger architectures that allow us to sense how to play with the forces we share to create and re-create balance through several points of contact. We will support our exploration on the concept of tensegrity to foster dances that will help bring awareness of the central and the peripheral, the simultaneous giving and taking of weight in the different points in contact and the multidirectional movements co-existing in our tissues while moving.

Having experienced this work, we will look at different layers of contact making to bring up some questions to the practice: where does contact start? Can we make contact without touch? What is that contact made of? What´s the slightest change we can perceive when touching? Can we touch and be touched simultaneously? How does muscle tone vary the experience of contact? Can we recognize the various points in contact when moving as to allow a polycentric dance?

Marina Tampini

My name is Marina Tampini and I am a profesor of the Dance Department at UNA (Universidad Nacional de las Artes), Argentina. I have been practicing Contact Improvisation for the last two decades, and I´m devoted to researching on improvisation and writing, particularly focusing on the articulation of body work (mainly CI and somatics) and filosophy (& social sciencies).

Currently, I divide my time at University between teaching (two different courses: CI and Social History of the body) and research on these topics.
With a subsidy of Fondo Metropolitano de Cultura, I published the book Cuerpos e ideas en danza. Una mirada sobre el Contact Improvisationin in 2012, my Master´s thesis work, which will be reedited this year. I am interested in continuing touring this material outside Argentina within the CI community or other communities which are interested on the reflection based on body work experience.

Il workshop ad Arezzo continua una serie di incontri in Italia con la coreografa Gabriella Maiorino ed è un’occasione per conoscere ed approfondire il suo lavoro di floor work, improvvisazione ed elementi coreografici sviluppati dal 2002 in Olanda ed in tutta Europa.

Il lavoro proposto da Gabriella va da un riscaldamento fisico molto dinamico e musicale, allo sviluppo di diverse qualità di movimento e di stato percettivo.
L’approccio nella danza è viscerale, immaginativo, ma anche atletico, animale e giocoso.
Bio
Coreografa Italiana residente in Olanda, Gabriella si e’ diplomata alla School for New Dance Development di Amsterdam nel 2002, e da allora tutte le sue creazioni sono state prodotte e finanziate da istituzioni Olandesi e comprodotte da diversi enti Europei. Ha presentato le sue creazioni ed insegnato in Olanda, Italia, Germania, Portogallo, Spagna, Norvegia, Belgio, Inghilterra, Francia, Polonia, Romania, Brasile ed altre nazioni Europee.

The workshop in Arezzo continues a series of appointments in Italy with choreographer Gabriella Maiorino and is an opportunity to learn and deepen his work on floor work, improvisation and choreographic elements developed since 2002 in the Netherlands and across Europe.
The work proposed by Gabriella start from a physical, very dynamic and musical warming to the development of different qualities of movement and perceptual status.
The dance approach is visceral, imaginative, but also athletic, animal and playful.

Gabriella Maiorino
Italian choreographer and performer living in the Netherlands, Gabriella graduated from the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam in 2002 after studying philosophy, dance and music in Italy. All her creations have been produced and financed by Dutch institutions and co-produced by different European institutions. She presented her creations, and taught in Holland, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Belgium, England, France, Poland, Romania, Brazil and other European nations.
As a teacher, she was invited to propose her original research, a mix of floor work, improvisation, visionary elements and tools to create an individual physical language, in many venues: dance academies (Artez Arnhem, SNDO Amsterdam, Codarts ROTTERDAM, HJS Amsterdam, IALS ROME , MODEM Catania, Fontys Tilburg, ZONE, Bucharest), festivals and locations for improvisation and research (ZIP Orvieto, Dansateliers Rotterdam, Casina Settarte, Stalker theater, Gdansk, Spazio Seme, Alps Move, Opificio dell’Arte Biella, Circle Rotterdam, Umbria Giovani, CID Rovereto etc.).

Domande di una vita (…di una danza):
posso danzare senza esaurirmi, rigenerandomi?
come modulare il tono e il peso nel dialogo con un altro corpo in contatto?
Come aderire ad un altro corpo ed essere leggero nella caduta e preciso nella direzione del peso e del movimento?

I cammini a transitare:
Svuotare il passo e lasciarsi attraversare per le linee di forza del peso, della immaginazione, della percezione.
Permettere che la gravità si manifesti nei suoi due sensi opposti e che il suo ritorno ci attraversi aprendo degli spazi tra gli organi, tra i liquidi, sostenendo il movimento dall’espansione delle ossa: progettando il cammino verso un volo interno e invisibile.
Immergersi in una ricerca di leggerezza e di peso nella simbiosi degli opposti:
la gravità aziona nei due sensi perché la fisica dei corpi in movimento si trasforma quando è abitata per l’immaginazione e la percezione.

Le porte, il corpo.
Pensare il corpo articolato per diverse porte che si aprono e si chiudono disegnando cammini chiari per il movimento e per il contatto.
Il dialogo con un altro, con lo spazio e con il tempo si dà per l’espansione e la “democratizzazione” del peso che attraversa ossa, direzioni, corpi, instanti.

Collabora con la compagnia Levelibular, http://www.levelibularcirco.com.ar/ , dal 2015 al giorno d’oggi come performer e scenografo.
Collabora dal 2008 al 2011 come attore e professore del gruppo Impacto Teatral , nel 2008 crea con il gruppo “El olvido de los cuerpos” spettacolo che segue in scena 10 anni.
Nel 2006 – 2007 lavora come performer per Lunaif in Italia.

The invisible flight

Questions of one life (…of one dance):
Is it possible to dance without being exhausted?
How to measure the muscle tone and the weight in a contact dialogue with other
body?
How to adhere with other body and be light in the fall and precise in the
direction of the weight and of the movement?
Ways to travel:
Empty the step and let the lines of strength of the weight, imagination and perception
go through oneself.
Let the gravity show itself in its two opposite senses and that its return go through us
opening spaces between organs, liquids, sustainingmovement by the expansion of the
bones: projecting the way towards an inward and invisible flight.
Submerging oneself in a research of lightness and weightiness in the symbiosis of the
opposites;
The gravity acts into two directions because the physicality transforms itself when it’s
crossed by the imagination and the perception.
The doors, the body.
Think the body articulated by different doors, opening or closing , and drawing clear
paths for the movement and for the contact.
The dialogue with other person, with the space and with the time is given by the
expansion and “democratization” of the weight that crosses bones, senses, bodies,
instants.

Underscore and Global 

The Underscore is a framework for practicing and researching dance improvisation that Nancy Stark Smith has been developing since 1990 based on her work with Contact Improvisation. It is an open score that guides dancers through a series of “changing states”, from solo deepening/releasing and sensitizing to gravity and support; through group circulation and interaction, contact improvisation engagements, opening out to full space improvisation with compositional awareness.

The Global Underscore is practiced globally and simultaneously every year for the Summer Solstice. It was proposed, for the first time, by Clair Filmon in 2000, following her desire to connect dancers from all over the world to create and compose all together in the present moment.

Authentic movement class 

Authentic Movement is a self-directed movement form.
One moves with eyes closed in the presence of a witness. With eyes closed, the mover brings awareness to inner sensation, while the witness notices his/her own experience while being totally present in seeing the mover. The simplicity of this form is its power. We will explore the action of seeing and being seen, the dynamic interplay that is at the heart of both the therapeutic dyad and dance.
We move, voice and sense into our inner impulses, we let nature move into us and out of us, nature becomes our witness and our mover.

We give ourselves the time to exchange, reflect, write and dance, I will be there to accompany you in the silence and in the expression. I will use deep bodywork to give the body to open for the new feelings
and mind to calm.

Anjelika Doniy – www.angeldance.ru
I have studied to be a choreographer, I´ve been taught various skills of training and means of teaching the body of another person. In my “archive” there are many stage pieces from folk dance to ballet miniatures. My work in the Theatre has been the tastiest. The actors, direction and dramaturgy broadened my mind and my image of the dance art form. I began to see how the art of charming the audience is created.
Since I´ve met contact improvisation and the first CI teachers, I practice the art of de-educating the body of another person and disentangling the illusions about movement and dance.
CI is the only dance that helps me leave the limits of personality and transform my consciousness. In this sense I´m the student, not the teacher. The better I learn, the more chances have the others to learn something from me.

Caterina Mocciola
I am an Italian/Australian performer and teacher, an enthusiastic supporter of Contact Impravisation, my lynchpin in dance. I love integrating my CI practice with real-time composition and other disciplines. For over 10 years I’ve been facilitating the Underscore, teaching and organizing events around CI, internationally. Since 2015 I’ve facilitated the Underscore in Berlin at TanzFabrik, where I teach regular classes and for the Dance Intensive; I also offer classes at Marameo and Dance Works.
